Clean the Burners
While you’re cooking, fat and grease drip through the grill and can land on the burners. If you don’t clean the grease away regularly, it can clog the burner ports. And clogged burner ports are what cause hot and cold spots on your grill. When the grill is cold, you can use a wire grill brush or a pipe cleaner to get the gunk off the burners.
